Inside the box, you'll find the AirPods Pro 2 themselves nestled snugly in their charging case, a USB-C to Lightning cable (yep, still Lightning, unfortunately!), different sizes of ear tips (XS, S, M, L) to ensure the perfect fit for your ears, and the usual documentation – you know, the stuff nobody really reads.

The first thing I noticed when I held the case was that it feels slightly different than the first generation. It has a more matte finish which feels really nice and premium in the hand. Also, finally, they've added a speaker to the bottom of the case! This is a game-changer for those of us who are constantly misplacing our AirPods. Now you can ping the case and it will emit a sound, making it much easier to find. I gave it a try, and it's surprisingly loud! Definitely a welcome addition. Tap "Connect," and you're good to go! The AirPods Pro 2 will automatically pair with all your devices linked to your iCloud account, which is super convenient. Once connected, you can customize the settings to your liking in the Bluetooth settings menu. You can adjust the noise cancellation levels, transparency mode, and customize the touch controls. I always like to rename my AirPods Pro 2 something fun, so I went with "ProPods Indonesia!"

Sound Quality: A noticeable Upgrade?

Apple claims it's twice as powerful as the original AirPods Pro, and after testing it out in various environments, I can confirm that it's significantly better. Whether I was on a crowded Jakarta bus, in a noisy coffee shop, or just trying to block out the sounds of my neighbor's karaoke session, the AirPods Pro 2 created a bubble of silence around me. The noise cancellation is so effective that it almost feels like magic! It effortlessly eliminates distractions, allowing you to focus on your music, podcast, or audiobook. The transparency mode is also excellent. It allows you to hear your surroundings while still listening to your audio, which is perfect for situations where you need to be aware of your environment. The adaptive transparency mode is a great feature. It dynamically adjusts the volume of loud noises to protect your hearing.

In my testing, I found these numbers to be pretty accurate. I was able to easily get through a full day of use without needing to recharge the case. It also supports fast charging, so you can get a quick boost of battery life when you're in a hurry. Battery life is always a concern with wireless earbuds, but the AirPods Pro 2 definitely deliver in this department.
